Our Eyes are On You (pages 123-160)
Psalm 121
At the conclusion of Week 4, Lisa offered that she had one more question to ask on this week. This is the conversation on that question:
Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
What quality of God did you see in Psalm 121 that ministers to you?
Breanne – Watcher. My fear is that no one knows what is going on. Being able to see in that moment that is never a truth. God is always watching. Never a time that the Lord isn’t watching. He is alert but with peace.
Lauren – The Lord HIMSELF watches you. The best person is caring about each one of you is so personal. Our God is a big God. I can trust that He is an intimate, personal God.
Julie – Keeper. Blue Letter Bible and looked up keeper – guard, watch, protect, hedge. In my daily life He is there with me. He is keeping me in my comings and goings.
Lisa – Will not let you stumble. It is easy to stumble. A lot of things at play that can trip you up. But He will not let you stumble.
