Perennials

Perennials is a ministry gathering for those who are 55+, able to meet during the daytime and committed to long-term growth as followers of Jesus Christ. Legacy Grandparenting Summit

February 21-22  |  Village Church of Bartlett

The Legacy Grandparenting Summit in February 2025, themed “For This Purpose,” is designed to inspire and encourage grandparents to embrace their biblical role, provide an incredible experience through top-notch speakers and practical topics, and give great ideas for grandparenting grandchildren of all ages. Participate in this conference virtually by attending this two-day event.

Women’s Bible Study: GROW!

I’m a Christian… what next? World-famous speaker and evangelist Becky Pippert shows what God’s plan for our lives is, and how we can get going and get growing in the Christian life. Topics for this 5-week study include growing together as believers, daily spiritual practices, and how to talk to others about our faith. Men’s Breakfast

Men, this monthly event is just for you! Come together over breakfast for a time of prayer and fellowship. This is a great opportunity to get to know other men from VCE, or to bring a friend. If it’s your first time attending, then breakfast is on us! See Darren Gruett with any questions.

Pumpkin Carving

Everyone is invited to this annual event sponsored by Village Kids! Drop by the home of Darren & Helen Gruett between 3-5pm on Sunday, October 20. Carving supplies and markers will be provided, but please BYOP (bring your own pumpkin!) Enjoy snacks and fellowship around the fire pit as well. Friends and guests welcome! Congregational Meeting

Please plan to attend a Congregational Meeting following the morning service on October 27. We will be giving an update on our current financial situation, as well as rolling out some initiatives for our potential building and our holiday giving project. This part of the service will not be part of our livestream, so we encourage everyone to attend in-person if you are able. All are welcome, this is not a members-only event! 

Thanksgiving Pie Party

You’re invited to an evening of fellowship and thankfulness for what the Lord has done in our church over the past year. Please bring a pie to share – sweet or savory, the choice is up to you! We look forward to gathering together and hearing about how VCE plans to close out 2024 and thrive in 2025.

MC2: 5 Love Languages

POSTPONED

Earlier we presented to you a new discipleship initiative in the works, MC2 (2 Month Concentration). These would be weekly classes focusing on a new topic every two months. We are still excited for this program, but have decided to postpone our first class until we have made a decision about our possible location move. We would love to host MC2 in our new building! Any updated information will be posted on the Hub and in the newsletter.

EDGE Youth Group

2nd & 4th Sundays  |  1:00 p.m.  |  The Oasis

Edge, our Village Students ministry, is for students in 6th – 12th Grade. Village Students exists to bring about intentional transformation in students’ lives. At Edge, we intentionally create experiences that unite students, ignite passion for Christ, and develop skills make disciples.

Our Edge Youth Group generally meets on the second and fourth Sundays of every month, from 1 – 3 pm. Regular meeting location is the Oasis, but special events may take students elsewhere in the community. Contact Craig Jarvis or Jessica Foster for more details or other upcoming events.

Bridgeway Outreach

For many years, VCE has been building a relationship with the residents at Bridgeway Senior Community in Bensenville. Our current outreach includes hosting regular worship services and monthly social events.
