Last year, Village Church East assisted the Carol Stream Social Services department in filling over 200 backpacks for local students. And this year we hope to do it again! Your donations will help us bless underprivledged students, many of whom belong to Newcomer families, and bring joy to the start of their school year. Monitary donations can be made using the link above, or you can bring new school supplies to Fountain View Recreation Center and place them in the bin in the main lobby.

School supplies will be collected from mid-June through July 20. See the links above for what supplies we are collecting, or to purchase from our Amazon Wishlist.

Our packing party will be held on Monday, August 5, at 6pm. The location is still being finalized, but we will likely use a room at Fountain View.

Backpack distribution will be on August 7, from 1-3 pm at Quail Run Apartments. We are looking for volunteers who can hand out backpacks to families, run activities for the children, and generally be a friendly face for these special members of our community.
