How can I Find Stability in this Life?
May 24, 2026 – Hebrews 6:13-20
ICE-BREAKER: What is the least trustworthy thing you have ever bought that promised to “change your life”?
1. Read Hebrews 6:13–20. What part of this passage stood out to you the most and why?
2. The sermon talked about how we live in a world filled with broken promises. How are promises like an “anchor point” for us? Why do broken promises affect people so deeply?
3. Why do you think God chose to build so much of His relationship with humanity around promises and covenants? Can your group name a few that you particularly like?
4. Read Hebrews 6:17–18. How do the “two unchangeable things” (God’s promise and God’s oath) work to strengthen our confidence in God?
5. The message said: “Human promises are built on intention… but God’s promises are built on His nature.” What is the difference between those two ideas?
6. Read Hebrews 13:8–9. How does the unchanging nature of Jesus provide stability in a constantly changing world? Why is this important in 2026?
7. The sermon described hope as an “anchor of the soul.” What are some false or weak anchor points people commonly trust in today?
