Men’s Spring Retreat
April 27 | 3:00 – 7:00 pm | Renovation Church
Men, get ready for the ultimate Eventure! Gather for an afternoon of archery, axe throwing, and more. Competition and camaraderie will abound. Additional details to follow in the coming weeks, but sign up now to reserve your spot. And be sure to bring a friend!
Cost is $75 per person, $25 for each additional guest. Scholarships are available – reach out to Darren Gruett for any questions.
Family Game Night
April 28 | 5:00 pm | Dave & Buster’s, Addison
An evening of family fun and competition awaits! Everyone is invited to an evening at Dave & Buster’s in Addison for arcade games, virtual reality, and more. VCE will provide each family with a Gift Card to help cover the cost of food and games, and have some tables together for people to sit and chat.
EDGE students – plan to hang out with the group and have your own competitions during the evening!

Spring Study – Psalms and the life of David
Final Session May 4 | 9:30 – 11:00 am | Home of Beth Jarvis
When you are struggling, you have a choice to walk with God . . . or let the darkness envelop you. It is not always easy, but God’s Word captures this struggle perfectly in the Psalms. Although they are often known for their passages of praise, the Psalms are also full of lament.
This study is about that in-between space―walking from the lament into the praise. Full of encouragement and reassurance that we will see God move, this study will help you to see the fuller picture and the light that we can turn toward in Christ.
We will be referencing the author David’s life and see how his story becomes evident in the Psalms.
Books are also available for purchase for those who can’t attend a group but want to study along.
Mother’s Day Photo Booth

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and we plan to honor all the ladies of VCE with a variety of gifts. Please plan to stop by our photo booth after the service and have a picture taken with your spouse, family, or just yourself! Chocolate covered strawberries and other surprises are also planned, so we hope that you will spend your special morning with us.
Perennials

Perennials, join us for our monthly gathering. This is a ministry for those who are 55+, able to meet during the daytime and committed to long-term growth as followers of Jesus Christ. We gather on the third Thursday of each month for fellowship, teaching, prayer, and fun.
Men’s Breakfast
May 18 | 7:00 am | Brunch Café
Men, this monthly event is just for you! Come together over breakfast for a time of prayer and fellowship. This is a great opportunity to get to know other men from VCE, or to bring a friend. If you know you’ll be attending, we appreciate you registering online so we can give the restaurant an accurate head-count. See Darren Gruett with any questions.
Ladies Spring Fling Fellowship

Have you seen all the new faces around church? Have you recently joined us? Come get to know each other more at the “Spring Fling Fellowship” on Saturday, May 18 from 9:30-11:30 am at Diane Neal’s home. There will be breakfast style bites, coffee, lattes, and tea to enjoy as you take time to get acquainted. Come for a short visit or stay the entire time – weather permitting we will be out on the deck! We look forward to this occasion to further connect as we “root” ourselves together in Christ Jesus.

EDGE Youth Group
2nd & 4th Sundays | 1:00 pm | The Oasis
Edge, our Village Students ministry, is for students in 6th – 12th Grade. Village Students exists to bring about intentional transformation in students’ lives. At Edge, we intentionally create experiences that unite students, ignite passion for Christ, and develop skills make disciples.
Our Edge Youth Group generally meets on the second and fourth Sundays of every month, from 1 – 3 pm. Regular meeting location is the Oasis, but special events may take students elsewhere in the community. Contact Craig Jarvis or Jessica Foster for more details or other upcoming events.
