National Night Out
August 7, 6:00 pm, Community Park
We are so excited for our next opportunity to minister to our neighbors in Carol Stream! Join us for National Night Out, an event which builds relationships between police and the community, and provide a positive environment for neighbors to get to know one another. National Night Out is celebrated all over the country, always on the first Tuesday in August.
We have been a part of Carol Stream’s festivities for the past two years. This year we will again have a booth with activities for kids, and information about our church for all the families who attend.
Ladies Drop In
Aug 3rd | 9am – 11am | Diane Neal’s Home
All ladies are invited to a morning of coffee and fellowship the first Saturday of every month from 9-11am at the home of Diane Neal. Drop in whenever you are able and build relationships with the other women of VCE. Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your favorite morning beverage as well!
MOMS ALIVE – MOPS
Every other Thursday @ 9-11am
Mothers Of Preschoolers (kids ages 0-5) gather to share our hopes, fears and insights in a format that works with our schedules. We will spend our time thinking, learning, crafting, and relaxing together, while our kiddos participate in MOPSKids with some of the most amazing childcare workers!
EDGE YOUTH GROUP
Wednesdays @ 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Edge, our Village Students ministry, is for students in 6th–12th Grade. We intentionally create experiences that unite students, ignite passion for Christ, and develop skills to Go, Grow, and Overcome. Edge typically meets in the Whittenhall home.
AWANA AT VILLAGE CHURCH
MONDAYS @ 6:00pm – 8:00pm
At Awana, children 3 years – 12th Grade will learn about Jesus and memorize God’s Word.
Awana meets on most Monday nights during the school year.
VOLUNTEER WITH VILLAGE KIDS
We are always looking for volunteers to join our Village Kids ministry!
JOIN A COMMUNITY GROUP
WHAT ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS?
- Love + Connection
- Most Groups are made up of 8-12 men and women who meet weekly for fellowship and prayer.
- Community Groups are rooted in sermon-based discussion and/or Bible study.
- They are the primary avenue through which we disciple and care for one another.
- Our desire is that our CG members would make deep connections with one another so that they can grow more like Christ, love each other deeply in word and action and further live out the Gospel in their life ministries.
